Alan has been capturing images through the lens for over 40 years. What began as a hobby, led to a BFA degree in photography from Rhode Island School of Design. Alan then began teaching photography at an alternative high school for at risk students, which led to teacher assistant/lab monitor position at Columbia University Graduate Journalism School in Manhattan.  Alan worked as a corporate editorial photographer at Shearer Visuals in White Plains, NY shooting assignments for Fortune 500 companies for many years located in the NY metropolitan area. Alan started his own business in 1984 where he continued to photograph various corporate editorial assignments, special events and promotional  marketing material. Alan continued to teach students of various ages and levels photography at several institutions in Westchester County for several years. He is a master of his craft, capturing light and shadow, shape and form. He has a romantic eye for framing subjects in a different perspective.His current passion is shooting landscapes located in southwest part of the US.
